One Down, 11 to Go

Week one of school has come to an end and there are 11 to go....

This week has been pretty swell, and today has been grand! Last night I walked into my new favourite store (as requested by Kelsey), Sally's Beauty Supply, and the manager asked me if I wanted an interview on the spot. Did the interview, so let us all together, collectively pray that I get this job!!! I also quit Crabby Joes and I couldn't be happier. Let me tell you, it was worth seeing cuz it was AWESOME!!!

Anyway, bringing back the song of the week! Justin Bieber's Pray! LOVE IT

SUMMER CLEANING!!!

So today I had the day off and stupidly decided to go through my clothes and get rid of the stuff I don't want. STUPIDEST IDEA OF THE FREAKING DAY!!!!

I went through my jeans first since I know I have an excessive amount (52 pairs). I'm now down to 29 pairs of jeans-- ps jeans are not something I buy often.
I also realized that I have 30 cardigans, 10 summer dresses, and an abundance of shirts (casual and dressy). Today has confirmed that I have a horrible shopping addiction!!!

Anyway since I have a clean room, I am able to put more effort into my summer list. Last weekend I crossed off another item:
23.    Meet up with Rach and finally get to meet Jack (and maybe bake something)
We had a Stanley's "reunion" bowling thing (which ps I have now learned I will NOT complete 27. go bowling and win because I suck so hard at bowling. The only thing I'm worse at is golf/ mini golf). Either way, as a last minute surprise, Rach Face showed up with her adorable son Jack :). Made the day, lemmie tell you! Oh and another added bonus to the day: POUTINE!!! Yaaaaaaaa!!!

I've also started another item on the list:
5.   Read 3 books and blog about them
I've started to read The Almost Archer Sisters. Holy cow, this book is soo good. More so because of the drama and emotion is evokes, but I'm loving it. I read 6 chapters on the first night. I hope to finish it buy tomorrow night so on Thursday I can buy another book.

Lastly, song of the week. Ma jam of the week is Jason Derulo's Riding Solo. It's so catchy :). Also, as anyone with a brain knows, I'M IN LOVE WITH MILEY CRYUS' CAN'T BE TAMED ALBUM!! Seriously, my new life soundtrack, so my absolute fave on the album is Permanant December.
Listen. Enjoy. Love it.

Saturday is Nicole's Stag and Doe so I'm sure I'll have a ton to blog about after that (if I can remember anything that happens hahaha)

Long Awaited Summer Updates.... WOW

Alright, so I realize I haven't posted anything on the blog in WEEKS (major fail), but on a positive note I've been writing in my journal more often. I think I've got to find a balance so I can update both of them more often...

Well let's just recap what has happened in my life since my last post:
Last weekend was The MAG Model Search in Kitchener. It was freaking awesome, made some new friends, made some awesome memories, was an AWESOME friend and asked whoever to go to prom with a friend of mine; it was amazing! And guess who wasn't at all nervous... YUP MEEEE!!! Haha even saw Rebecca Hardy and we both noticed I was no where near as nervous as I was last time. FTW!! I think the highlight of my weekend was seeing/hear the KW Glee Choir. I actually cried at how amazing they were. It was great!!!

Since MAG, life hasn't been that exciting. My days are working and sleeping... probably eating and going to Walmart, but really that's just a given. I've started going to the gym. I'm loving my work out on the treadmill with my super awesome playlist. Inventor of iPod, I THANK YOU. I'm actually starting to miss school and honestly can't wait to go back in September... Speaking of September, that's when my birthday is. You're all getting enough notice now so don't you dare forget!!!! I'm planning a pretty epic birthday party-- stay tuned :D.

Finally, I am still continuing my search for a new job. No jokes, if you help me get a job, I will bake you awesomeness... just saying. It's a win win for both of us...

Back to my song of the week, it's not really a song it's been my playlist of June. These songs have legitimately been on repeat on my iPod and laptop since June 1:

Anyway, I work in a few hours (it's my usual Friday night), so I guess I'm gonna go to bed, falling asleep to my Summer playlist.

A Weekend Trip Down Memory Lane

Alright. This week has been absolutely horrible. After the amazing day at the beach, I had an allergic reaction to the sun, to the sunscreen, my face was swollen beyond belief AND some stoopid woman hit my car when I was in the parking lot to get meds...

BUT TODAY, the weather has been awesome, and I spent the evening with my girls. Most epic part: our playlist!! So this weeks song of the week ends up being the entire collection of the band of my childhood. That's right, S CLUB 7!! S Club 7 was my life back in the day. What's funny (or sad), I still remember the words to every single S Club 7 song and the dance moves that went along with the music videos.

So now we'll add my top seven S Club 7 songs (complete with videos). Enjoy.

  1. S Club Party
  2. Never Had a Dream Come True
  3. Natural
  4. Bring it All Back
  5. Two In a Million
  6. Don't Stop Moving
  7. Alive
I'm most definitely going to spend the next like hour watching these videos so, I'm out. Lata

BEACH DAYZZZ

Summer has officially arrived and Beach Day number 1 has successfully been completed. Today, the besties and I: Nicole, Steven and Sean, went to Sauble Beach for a day of "fun in the sun".

First off. Kudos to Steven who just got his G2 a few weeks ago for making the trip with us and being our driving. Kudos II to Stevens mommy for letting him do this :) The day was epic from the start. Music wars, swimming, splashing, stories, Mad Libs, Ke$ha, QuizFest, craaaazy burns, food, mini golf, and laughs galore.

This was the first Beach Day of the summer, and there's many more to come. I am beyond stoked!!!

Oh yeah, and Song of the Week: California Gurls by Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg. This is my summer JAM!! Listening to it makes me just want to go to the beach again... soon my friends, soon.

OH and the video that made me laugh THE MOST this week!!! Freaking Justin Bieber being PWND by a glass door in Germany.... I watch it over and over. Epic Fail!!! BAHAHA. I still love Justin Bieber though (sorry).

NEW Ke$ha and weekend updates :D

WHAT!!! Why the H did no one tell me that the new Ke$ha video is out?!?! Seriously! Where are my true friends!!! Gosh! Well I'll be a TF to the world: Your Love is My Drug. You're welcome world...

Second on the docket, today I had a fashion show: my 2nd of hopefully many. Today's show was a Bridal show and it was mega fun. When I get picture (whenever that day will be) I'll definitely post them. However, after the show I had to book it work since the awesome staff of Price Chopper (oh I'm sorry, FreshCo) decide NOT to come in when they're the only available CO person who knows how to close Saturday nights... it's cool tho... I learned something new :)

Last on the docket, song of the week. This week's song of the week is by my favourite gentlemen, and potential 4 future husbands: Honor Society. The song is Can't Box Me In. I'm just mega into the beat almost as much I'm in to the guy's looks and adorable personalities... I'm in love..

Anywho, I'm off to bed since today has been a rough day...

Back Back Back Staba

I haven't done a song of the week in so stinking long. It's mainly because I listen to the same music on repeat haha so new music doesn't come into my life... However, in the next two days I'll throw another song up. It'll make up for my failing in the past few weeks.

So this week's is by my FAVOURITE artist: Ke$ha. The song is called Backstabber . This song makes the cut solely because it's definitely reminding me of a few people. I have come across several people throughout my life who just remind me of this song. It's kinda funny. Lol and specifically people you thought were your "friends". Haha oh well, such is life. And we all know how funny my life can be- if you don't know, follow me on twitter!

Anyway, I feel like there are 4th of July fireworks going on in my stomach right now so I think I'm going back to bed but please, enjoy Ke$ha. I definitely do. I'll post again asap

May's The Back-Up Plan

Happy May!!!

Twitter is one of the most random social networks out there. Seriously, who wants to know what someone is doing throughout the day. It's a play by play of someone's life. Either way, I am now addicted! I finally figured out how to use my twitter app from my phone, so now I've become a twitter fiend. Look me up, follow me, love me [devy64]. K thanks.

Tonight was date night number, who knows, and we went to see The Back-Up Plan (with JLo). It was great! I love love love romantic comedies and love love LOVE babies! This movie is the best of both worlds :D AAHHH!!! I vote ya'll see it! STAT

Next up is the song of the week. This week's song of the week is old school: MC Hammer's 2 Legit 2 Quit. Fo shiz, this song is too legit to quit! Came on the radio the other day, and I actually had to pull over and jam to it for a solid 5 minutes. LEGIT!

Next, the Justin Bieber music video for Eenie Meenie is out and it is making my life SO MUCH BETTER! Watch that too....

Anywho, enjoy your weekend (and tweet me!)

It's been awhile...

Alright, my bad!!! I've been so busy with life that I haven't been able to update the blog...

So what has happened: SCHOOL IS OVER!!, Summer has started, I need a 2nd job... anyone and everyone should really let me know if anywhere is hiring. Really, I will be your best friend if you do... I promise :)

Since I haven't blogged in awhile, I need to do two songs of the week. So first up is: Break Your Heart by Taio Cruz feat. Ludacris. This song is freaking epic... it's my ringtone haha I love it.
Next is: Whatta Night by Ricky J. The song mentions Patrone, shots, and the year 1999 haha my fave :D It's my new party song, other than anything by LMFAO.

Anyway, enjoy. If all goes well tomorrow will be the most fantastic night of my year to date lol... we'll see tho.

The Last Song and It's Friday, Sunday isa Comin'

It's good Friday, and I started off my day off by watching my favourite Easter video:

Since it's a holiday, essentially everywhere in town is closed-- everywhere except the movies! :) So the girls and I ventured out to see The Last Song. Last week I read the book in 3 days; loved it, cried like a baby, and couldn't wait to see the movie. Tonight we saw the movie and it didn't exactly live up to the book, but it was still good. YES I did cry, but not as much as I thought I would. The best part was the audience's reactions to everything in the movie. I just wish they just put more of the key parts and relevant parts from the book into the movie.

Next: this week's song of the week (in honor of the movie) is Miley Cyrus' When I Look at you. I admit Miley cannot sing to save her life, but the concept of the song (and the attractiveness of her boyfriend).

Anyway, tomorrow I work essentially 7-7 soooo gotta go to bed...

Goodnight

Eenie Meenie Minee Mo...

So this one's gonna be simple and to the point...

I finished reading The Last Song and it was so good! I actually bawled for the entire ending... it's a good read! I'm so stoked to see the movie next week when it comes out. See the trailer, it looks so cute!

Second, this week's song of the week: another Justin Bieber, Eenie Meenie. This song is so stinking cute. All I can say is I love it! Haha it's been my replay song of the week. But since this week has been pretty stellar, I'll pleasure you with another. Carrie Underwood's Ever Ever After. Another cute one that makes me feel like falling in love :).

That's all for now,
Catch up witcha lata..

The Anti- March Break

Here it is as promised: my EPIC blog post!!! Are you ready?? Well get ready!!

So while all the little high school kiddies (and the younger ones too) are getting all stoked for their awesome March Break trips, us university folk get to continue working our butts off with papers, essays, mid terms and getting ready for finals...

Ok here's my rant about March Break: why give us Reading Week in February???? February is the shortest month: 4 weeks. March is a much longer month: 5 weeks. Therefore, who needs a break for the mega short month, GIVE ME MARCH BREAK TOO!!!

On another note, as you can see, the blog has been updated and revamped! It honestly took hours to get a good template but, it's here so now enjoy. While searching for templates and ideas I found a ton more for other types of blogs I want to start, so I'll keep you posted for my new blogs. I'm thinking one all about food, since that really is my favourite thing :)

I've really got to keep up on this song of the week thang so: Naturally by Selena Gomez. She's cute, the video is cute, the song is cute... and catchy. Everytime It comes on the radio I get all excited. And if you think I'm a dork for liking it, Perez Hilton likes it too so HA!

And this week I'm going to add a new feature: my LEAST favourite song of the week. That my friends would be Classified's Oh Canada. Not only is this song STOOPID, but it makes my ashamed to say I live in Canada... that is all. No praise, just hate for this song.

There is officially 3 more weeks of school until Summer break, and who is the most excited?! YUP! That would be me!! Currently I have no Summer plans, since all my time has been spent on school, leaving no time to day dream about the better days of Summer. I'm thinking a trip should be planned for this year, since it's the big 2.1. and all...

OH I ALMOST FORGOT!! Apparently all who visit my blog (but won't follow me!!!) seem to feel left out when they're not mentioned so... Doug Pham (aka. DJ. Dougy Fresh) there is your shout out... and while we're on the subject of you- we're getting lunch this week since you're one of the lucky ones who gets "March Break"- pfft...

Anyway, have a good weeks and remember it's daylight savings. EW

Finally Some Sleep

This past week has been B.A.N.A.N.A.S.! Between papers, midterms, drama, and other nonsense I have been absolutely exhausted, but after over 2 weeks I have FINALLY gotten a good night sleep. And not only was it a good night sleep but it was an amazing sleep :).

Anyways, I can't even update everything that's happened in the past week since I completely forget the last time I've updated this blog. Goals of the year are going well... then again it's only March so a lot can happen between now and next year. I think starting next year I'm going to have school-year goals as well... perhaps NOT putting everything to the last minute?? Haha really, who am I kidding, that is so not going to happen.

Tonight is also my first trip to a casino- a lot of firsts are happening lately :) I'll let ya'll know if I win big-- actually I won't. I don't want anyone harassing me for money, but if you see me NOT complaining about money, you'll know I won.

I have definitely failed on this song of the week/entertainment updates so we're going to catch up:
Yesterday was the anniversary of Notorious B.I.G.'s death, so in honor of Biggie Smalls, my song of the week is Juicy-- it's all good babay babay.
Another song I'm loving this week is Justin Bieber's Baby(featuring LUDACRIS)! Love J. Biebs.
P.S. cutest video ever!! Must watch!!

The hit movie to see right now is Alice in Wonderland. Not gonna lie to you guys, I didn't understand it AT ALL. But regardless it was pretty darn good.

There are 3 more weeks of school and a few more weeks till Summer... who's excited?? I AM!!! :D

I should probably get back to taking notes for this class since I haven't been for over 20 minutes...

McDonalds, MTV, $40 Parking, Forever XXI, TO = Epic Day!

Our awesome scenery come to you courtesy of random wall painting in Canadian Tire.
On Sale this week for $29.99!!

Alrighty, so today was absolutely amazing and I'm beyond exhausted, but I remembered I promised some people a play by play of the day so here we go:

The day started at 9:30 ish when mother dear, Nicole and I went to McDonalds for breaky. After this, the day officially began!

We ventured to good ol' Toronto where we wondered down the streets and looked at all the "high-end" (expensive) stores. We had a few hours to kill before MTV time. In our time killing we decided to go in just to see what it was like... thing is THE PLACE IS ON MAD LOCK DOWN!!! There's a door that looks like a huge mirror (it's a two way mirror so intense security can stare you down before you go in). Apparently we looked lost and some guy offered to help us out. Relevance: This guy is Johnny from MTV News- too bad we didn't realized this until after he left.

2 hours, and 6 sore feet later we went back to MTV studios to wait in what looks like a holding area of a prison. Super sketch: no one talks, hard core security, locks of EVERYTHING! They led us down to the basement (yeah a basement) to do the audition where I found my good buddy (yes we're friends now) Johnny! Haha we chatted for a solid, 3 seconds before he had to run off to do his job... Then it was time for the audition, which really was exactly like the Aftershow. They threw out some topics, we discuss. Then it was done... Oh and while I'm discussing the awesomeness of Ke$ha and what a douchebag John Mayor is, Nicole got to meet PAUL THE INTERN!! Yes I'm jealous, but at least we can say we met celebs today ha ha. Now, TIME FOR SHOPPING!!

Ventured down to the Eaton Centre, to then find Forever XXI... lots of wondering, lots of money spending, lots of energy. We went to the sketchiest pizza place in the food court-- random homeless people asking for money, stupid girl not understanding what we're ordering, pizza that looked like vomit on paper... oh yeah and this "pizza" wasn't cheap. We made multiple laps around the mall till it was time for... FOREVER XXI!!! AHH!!! We get to the motherland of all thing stylish and affordable, shed a tear in happiness, and spent our life savings on their goodness. Ok maybe, not our life savings, but definitely our last paycheck... and then some. Unfortunately we didn't get everything on our Forever XXI wish list, so Nicole and I will have to make a trip back ASAP!

Upon leaving Forever XXI, we made several more laps of the mall, saw an unbelievably attractive guy at Hollister, made some friends in Best Buy and American Eagle, and spend a solid hour looking for the perfect gift for our good friend Steve! After much thoughtful shopping, we found his gift- he'll get it tomorrow...

After purchasing Steven's gift, it was time to go. I mean honestly it's been about 12 hours since we left home! We're tired, and broke!!! We pay for parking again (and I never really appreciated my city till now- THANK YOU WATERLOO FOR THE FREE PARKING!!!!) and ventured back to Waterloo. The GPS (I like to call her Gypsy) took a good 30 minutes to find a signal, so luckily we knew our way back.

Oh and since I forgot about it the past two weeks, and we heard it and "awed" all day, the song of the day is Today was a Fairytale by Taylor Swift. Cutest song ever!!!

So all in all the trip was a huge success!! Made new friends, met celebs, spent all our money, made some memories :) AMAZING!! And whether or not I get this gig with MTV, it was an awesome experience. Best day trip... EVER!!

Now I am beyond exhausted, and I actually need to continue shopping tomorrow morning so good night world :)

Dear John, Tell me Why

Alright, so really I should be studying but clearly there are more important things in life...

The movie review and the song of the week!

Dear John was such an adorable movie! Oh gosh. So good, I can't even describe what it was about or the emotions it evoked, but I was a mess of tears for well over an hour! (People behind me starting making fun of me for crying). Romantic, cute, love it! <3

Song of the week: Taylor Swift: That's the Way I Loved You I have always loved this song, but T. Swizzle clearly has a way of describing the emotions in a relationship. I love this song. I totally feel this way when I like a guy... roller , coaster of emotions.
Screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain.
It's 2 a.m. and I'm cursing your name.
I'm so in love that I'm acting insane.
And that's the way I loved you...

We all know Taylor Swift is a lyrical guru so... just get her CD and listen to the whole thing

Now it's time to get back to studying (so stoked for date night tomorrow I can't concentrate!)...

Song of the EPIC Week

Alright peeps,
If you can recall, my MAIN goal for 2010 has been to be more positive. Well goal is in full effect! And this week has been major proof :)

This past week I have made new friends, and also made an influence in a few peoples lives. Now I won't bore you with the details right now (partially cuz I'm pretty stinking tired- and my stomach hurts haha), but it's really cool. And a few weeks ago I posted a blog on "letting go" well I've let go, moved on, and I'm stoked for what's to come in the future!!!

Anyway, some cool points to my EPIC week have been:
  • Meeting and befriending some swell kids (Rob and Brody)
  • The BEST hang out day ever (let's just say we hit up every fast food joint on one block in 4 hours)
  • Got my G licence
  • Finding out Taylor Swift has a "line" of greeting cards- they are beautiful and have the cutest messages (but really would you expect anything less of Taylor Swift? Didn't think so)
I've also decided to start a song of the week, since I know I can't handle a song of the day. And this week's song is "Blind" by Ke$ha. As everyone must know I love her, but this song totally goes along with my whole letting go and I feel it says most of what's on my mind right now.

As of yet, my plans for this upcoming week are going to be AWESOME and... It's pretty stinking close to February!! You know what that means?? Valentine's Day, Reading Week, MTV Audition, and maybe The Tyra Show (?!?!)!!

xoxo
