10 Songs that Make Me Happy

Now don't get me wrong, music has the ability to alter someone's mood. But I'm not the type who when I'm in a bad mood I pull out my iPod and mellow out. That's a bit too emo, but there's definitely a list of songs that instantly perk up my mood. Here's my top ten:

     1.      Bootylicious - Destiny's Child

I don't think you can handle this WOOOOOOOOOO!
I have forgotten the awesomeness of this song, until late last week. Definitely remember the awesomeness of this song when it first came out, how everyone wanted the outfits, to know the choreography and to do that belly thing Beyonce does in the pink outfit.

     2.      Whip My Hair - Willow Smith
The first time I heard this song, I felt like I had whiplash. Then the song grew on me within minutes. Best song ever! When you're listening to it, you too start whipping your hair (which is very embarrassing if you're in public or anywhere where hair whipping is not appropriate). Hate on the song all you want, you know it's awesome.

     3.      Fergalicious - Fergie
Why Fergie still does not have a solo career I don't know. Her entire album = fantastic, but this has got to be my favourite!

     4.      Check it Out - Nicki Minaj

In reality, this song is a bunch of nonsense, you a chihuahua I'm a rotwallaaa. But it's just so darn catchy! Obviously the song was bound to be a hit, I mean common Will.I.Am AND Nicki Minaj.

     5.      Eenie Meanie - Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston
This is my favourite Justin Bieber song, no doubt! He's so stinking cute, and him and Sean Kingston together... omfg! This song is much cuter in the footage from Never Say Never, but since most people don't want to see the movie, just listen here.

     6.      Stop - Spice Girls
If you were a girl in the 90s, and you don't know the dance to this song, you're either a liar or a loser. EVERYONE knows it. I know it and I wasn't even allowed to listen to the Spice Girls!! This song was the anthem of the 1990s Girl Power movement. But who cares, they're British and just oh so cool.

     7.      Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO
Probably the only LMFAO song without profanity. But it just makes me wanna dance.

     8.      Tik Tok - Ke$ha
Anyone who knows me, know I love Ke$ha... and glitter. This song has a little too much of both. Her first and probably her most popular song. I remember when this video premiered at Much Music (I was at Much watching everyone's reaction) and everyone thought Ke$ha was black, but were sadly disappointed that she was some crazy drunk white girl covered in last nights glitter. Besides, who doesn't wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy. Nonetheless, good song.
And true confession: "Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy"- my alarm every morning.

     9.      Wannabe - Spice Girls
BEST SPICE GIRLS SONG! First of all: message to all men: if you want to be with a girl, be cool with her friends or it ain't happening. Second: Ginger Spice's outfit?! AMAZING! Third: this is where Scary Spice stopped being the scary nutjob, and became half cool... Of course she's much cooler now without the leopard print, but whatever.

   10.      Yeah - Usher

Usher, Lil John, Ludachris. Nuff said.

NEW Ke$ha and weekend updates :D

WHAT!!! Why the H did no one tell me that the new Ke$ha video is out?!?! Seriously! Where are my true friends!!! Gosh! Well I'll be a TF to the world: Your Love is My Drug. You're welcome world...

Second on the docket, today I had a fashion show: my 2nd of hopefully many. Today's show was a Bridal show and it was mega fun. When I get picture (whenever that day will be) I'll definitely post them. However, after the show I had to book it work since the awesome staff of Price Chopper (oh I'm sorry, FreshCo) decide NOT to come in when they're the only available CO person who knows how to close Saturday nights... it's cool tho... I learned something new :)

Last on the docket, song of the week. This week's song of the week is by my favourite gentlemen, and potential 4 future husbands: Honor Society. The song is Can't Box Me In. I'm just mega into the beat almost as much I'm in to the guy's looks and adorable personalities... I'm in love..

Anywho, I'm off to bed since today has been a rough day...

Back Back Back Staba

I haven't done a song of the week in so stinking long. It's mainly because I listen to the same music on repeat haha so new music doesn't come into my life... However, in the next two days I'll throw another song up. It'll make up for my failing in the past few weeks.

So this week's is by my FAVOURITE artist: Ke$ha. The song is called Backstabber . This song makes the cut solely because it's definitely reminding me of a few people. I have come across several people throughout my life who just remind me of this song. It's kinda funny. Lol and specifically people you thought were your "friends". Haha oh well, such is life. And we all know how funny my life can be- if you don't know, follow me on twitter!

Anyway, I feel like there are 4th of July fireworks going on in my stomach right now so I think I'm going back to bed but please, enjoy Ke$ha. I definitely do. I'll post again asap

McDonalds, MTV, $40 Parking, Forever XXI, TO = Epic Day!

Our awesome scenery come to you courtesy of random wall painting in Canadian Tire.
On Sale this week for $29.99!!

Alrighty, so today was absolutely amazing and I'm beyond exhausted, but I remembered I promised some people a play by play of the day so here we go:

The day started at 9:30 ish when mother dear, Nicole and I went to McDonalds for breaky. After this, the day officially began!

We ventured to good ol' Toronto where we wondered down the streets and looked at all the "high-end" (expensive) stores. We had a few hours to kill before MTV time. In our time killing we decided to go in just to see what it was like... thing is THE PLACE IS ON MAD LOCK DOWN!!! There's a door that looks like a huge mirror (it's a two way mirror so intense security can stare you down before you go in). Apparently we looked lost and some guy offered to help us out. Relevance: This guy is Johnny from MTV News- too bad we didn't realized this until after he left.

2 hours, and 6 sore feet later we went back to MTV studios to wait in what looks like a holding area of a prison. Super sketch: no one talks, hard core security, locks of EVERYTHING! They led us down to the basement (yeah a basement) to do the audition where I found my good buddy (yes we're friends now) Johnny! Haha we chatted for a solid, 3 seconds before he had to run off to do his job... Then it was time for the audition, which really was exactly like the Aftershow. They threw out some topics, we discuss. Then it was done... Oh and while I'm discussing the awesomeness of Ke$ha and what a douchebag John Mayor is, Nicole got to meet PAUL THE INTERN!! Yes I'm jealous, but at least we can say we met celebs today ha ha. Now, TIME FOR SHOPPING!!

Ventured down to the Eaton Centre, to then find Forever XXI... lots of wondering, lots of money spending, lots of energy. We went to the sketchiest pizza place in the food court-- random homeless people asking for money, stupid girl not understanding what we're ordering, pizza that looked like vomit on paper... oh yeah and this "pizza" wasn't cheap. We made multiple laps around the mall till it was time for... FOREVER XXI!!! AHH!!! We get to the motherland of all thing stylish and affordable, shed a tear in happiness, and spent our life savings on their goodness. Ok maybe, not our life savings, but definitely our last paycheck... and then some. Unfortunately we didn't get everything on our Forever XXI wish list, so Nicole and I will have to make a trip back ASAP!

Upon leaving Forever XXI, we made several more laps of the mall, saw an unbelievably attractive guy at Hollister, made some friends in Best Buy and American Eagle, and spend a solid hour looking for the perfect gift for our good friend Steve! After much thoughtful shopping, we found his gift- he'll get it tomorrow...

After purchasing Steven's gift, it was time to go. I mean honestly it's been about 12 hours since we left home! We're tired, and broke!!! We pay for parking again (and I never really appreciated my city till now- THANK YOU WATERLOO FOR THE FREE PARKING!!!!) and ventured back to Waterloo. The GPS (I like to call her Gypsy) took a good 30 minutes to find a signal, so luckily we knew our way back.

Oh and since I forgot about it the past two weeks, and we heard it and "awed" all day, the song of the day is Today was a Fairytale by Taylor Swift. Cutest song ever!!!

So all in all the trip was a huge success!! Made new friends, met celebs, spent all our money, made some memories :) AMAZING!! And whether or not I get this gig with MTV, it was an awesome experience. Best day trip... EVER!!

Now I am beyond exhausted, and I actually need to continue shopping tomorrow morning so good night world :)

Song of the EPIC Week

Alright peeps,
If you can recall, my MAIN goal for 2010 has been to be more positive. Well goal is in full effect! And this week has been major proof :)

This past week I have made new friends, and also made an influence in a few peoples lives. Now I won't bore you with the details right now (partially cuz I'm pretty stinking tired- and my stomach hurts haha), but it's really cool. And a few weeks ago I posted a blog on "letting go" well I've let go, moved on, and I'm stoked for what's to come in the future!!!

Anyway, some cool points to my EPIC week have been:
  • Meeting and befriending some swell kids (Rob and Brody)
  • The BEST hang out day ever (let's just say we hit up every fast food joint on one block in 4 hours)
  • Got my G licence
  • Finding out Taylor Swift has a "line" of greeting cards- they are beautiful and have the cutest messages (but really would you expect anything less of Taylor Swift? Didn't think so)
I've also decided to start a song of the week, since I know I can't handle a song of the day. And this week's song is "Blind" by Ke$ha. As everyone must know I love her, but this song totally goes along with my whole letting go and I feel it says most of what's on my mind right now.

As of yet, my plans for this upcoming week are going to be AWESOME and... It's pretty stinking close to February!! You know what that means?? Valentine's Day, Reading Week, MTV Audition, and maybe The Tyra Show (?!?!)!!
